Canadians spent more than $4.66 billion on computer and information technology in 2009, up 1% over 2008, according to the latest research made public recently by the NPD Group, a private industry think tank.
The group said 2009's modest annual growth was fuelled by an exceptionally strong fourth quarter, which saw an 8% year-over-year growth in all product categories.
