Milos Jancik to Step Down as President & CEO, EFC

Harald Henze, Chair of Electro-Federation Canada, issued a letter to EFC Official Representatives last week, announcing that Milos Jancik will be stepping down as President & CEO of EFC at the end of this year. Harald recognizes and thanks Milos for his six years of exemplary service at EFC.

During his tenure, Milos has led EFC to address such complex issues as the Objective-based Industrial Electrical Code and the increased focus on environmental legislation, while continuing to offer value-added statistical reporting, education and information seminars, an annual conference and opportunities for cross-industry networking.

In particular, under Milos' leadership, EFC has focused on product life-cycle responsibility for manufacturers and increased requirements for energy efficiency. Milos has brought keen insight and thoughtful leadership to EFC's work to serve its members effectively through this time of change.

Through his leadership, EFC has further improved its financial position, the strength of its team, and its capacity to address the issues that will face our industry over the short- and medium- term. He has provided stability through good and bad times.

In the weeks ahead, the EFC Board will be conducting an executive search to identify the new president who will lead EFC by the beginning of 2011. All applications and nominations should be submitted to any member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.

Once again, a special thanks to Milos for his leadership over the past six years and we wish him all the best in the years ahead.
