EEMAC Announcement -- Ministry Approves BC’s Fluorescent Lamps Stewardship Plan

The Electrical Equipment Manufactures Association of Canada (a council of Electro-Federation Canada) is pleased to announce that the Ministry of Environment has approved the BC Fluorescent Lamps Stewardship Plan. This program will be one of the first extended producer responsibility (EPR) programs for lamps (also known as light bulbs) in North America. The program will take back fluorescent light bulbs sold for residential use starting July 1, 2010. Click here for the full press release.
