Milos Jancik, President & CEO, Electro-Federation Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Winter as Manager of the Consumer Electronics Marketers of Canada (CEMC) council, effective July 26, 2010.
As Manager of CEMC, Susan is responsible for developing value-add programs to meet members’ requirements. Susan is also responsible for providing leadership to the Council, its members, and its committees in the areas of government relations, environmental legislation and end-of-life producers’ responsibility for environmentally-safe product collection and disposal. She will also play an integral role in managing federal and provincial regulatory affairs.
Susan most recently served as Manager, Committee and Consumer Services at the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). She was responsible for CSA’s membership program, including recruitment, retention, training and education. She also led CSA’s member satisfaction survey programs and set policies and procedures in place for the administration of CSA’s membership database.
Susan has also held senior-level, management positions at other associations, including the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario, the Society of Certified Management Accountants of Canada, the Canadian Medical Association, and others.
Susan also has extensive experience in association management, member relations, policy development and regulatory affairs, in particular with regard to codes, standards and product safety. She currently participates on a number of committees at the Standards Council of Canada, including one on International Standards for Consumer Product Safety as well as ISO Consumer Policy.
