Westburne Quebec Tees Off For Kids! A golf tournament hosted by the employees of Westburne Quebec turned leisure into action by raising $5,175 for the electrical industry’s Hungry For Change Campaign in support of Canadian Feed The Children. “We are very proud of this event! It was a fun day and great cause to rally around. Everyone pitched in, happy to be part of something so meaningful. We collected funds from our generous suppliers and golfers, hosted a putting contest, sold water bottles, and invited guests to take part in games of chance.” Benoit Laramée, Westburne Quebec. Players teed off at the Mirabel, Le Victorien golf club with a fierce determination to score 20,000 meals for hungry children. By the 18th hole, they in fact raised enough for 20,700 school lunches! “What a wonderful kickoff to the 2010 Hungry For Change campaign! We are thrilled to learn of Westburne Quebec’s golf tournament, and honoured by their hard work and dedication to helping create a world where children thrive. Our heartfelt thanks to the many employees who contributed their time, talent and treasure. Your commitment to making a positive difference is so greatly appreciated. We celebrate Westburne Quebec’s decision not to let poverty have the last word in the lives of children!” Debra Kerby, Executive Director, Canadian Feed The Children. | ||||||
