EFC President Participates in Panel at Ontario Chamber of Commerce AGM

Milos Jancik, President, Electro-Federation Canada was invited to be a panelist at the Ontario Chamber of Commerce's (OCC) Annual General Meeting on May 1st. Milos took part in OCC's Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): A Business Perspective panel. The panelists discussed the cross-sectoral problem of IPR and how it deeply affects the economy in terms of investments and competitiveness. The panel also informed the business community on the ‘what’ and the ‘why’ behind intellectual property rights, what businesses can and should be doing, and why both the broader business community and our governments need to do more to ensure the integrity of IPR and all that it entails. Milos was joined on the panel by Scott Inwood, Director of Commercialization, Intellectual Property Management Group, University of Waterloo; and Dan Clow, Senior Manager, National Policy, GlaxoSmithKline.
