New Research: Half flat-panel TVs will have Ethernet by 2013
As many as 46 percent of flat panel TVs shipping in 2013 will have Ethernet connections up from about 19 percent this year. That's the prediction in a new report on Internet-connected TVs from ABI Research. Ethernet represents the easiest and most robust way to link the TV to the Net. However, TVs will likely support many kinds of connections including USB ports with Wi-Fi dongles, a popular approach in CES 2010 demos. More on this.
