In Memoriam: Richard Taylor

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Taylor. Richard passed away on June 13th in Belleville, Ontario in his 69th year. Richard was the very first President of Electro-Federation Canada. Prior to that, he had been President of Copel, which he helped transform into a preeminent independent distribution company. In the mid-90's, he helped Copel join the North American AD Distributor group. 

Many of you may have been aware of the degenerative spinal condition that Richard suffered from, affecting discs 1, 2 and 3 in his upper neck. What was not known was that in addition he had a staph infection that became very aggressive in a short period of time that led to paralyses, and ultimately could not be overcome.

A private grave-side service was held for Richard on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, please remember Richard by supporting a local person or organization with a contribution. EFC extends its deepest condolences to Richard's family. He was a good friend to many in our industry and will be greatly missed.
